Education Futures

Scaling Teacher Preparation Pipeline Programs

The intent of the Education Futures Project is to launch a statewide effort to incorporate Teacher Preparation Pipeline (TPP) programs throughout California Community Colleges, to successfully recruit, train and support teachers to ameliorate critical shortages in STEM, CTE and other high need sectors, as well as to diversify and align education pathways. Teacher Preparation Pipeline programs have been prioritized by the CCCCO for use of Strong Workforce funds, and are one of the five projects in-common targeted to receive 10% of Regional share allocation for Task Force recommendations and to achieve the outcomes for the Strategic Vision for Success.

This virtual workshop is for Regional Model applicants and Regional Leadership applicants. Regional Kumu maps can provide insight for developing your Education Futures implementation plan, particularly for Regional Model and Regional Leadership applicants. In this video conference call, learn how to apply Kumu tools, such as clustering and filtering, to glean valuable data to guide planning and prioritizing in a regional Ecosystem map. This call is designed to prepare regional project leaders and supporters to analyze the strengths and gaps in TPP development within the region, both to support planning for applications and for the December 7th and 8th regional workshops, where regional Kumu maps will be reviewed.

Call participants will be encouraged to interact on the call to explore questions about their own maps.
